Frequently Asked Questions
What is the deadline for registration?
The deadline for Reunion registrations is August 4, 2023. After this date, $25 will be added to the registration price. The final cut-off for registrations is August 18, 2023.
Which option should I register for?
Single Day – This option includes any stays for less than 24 hours, even if it’s overnight.
Full Weekend – This option includes any stays for more than 24 hours.
For 2023 Camp Staff, there is a single price regardless of a partial or full weekend stay.
How do I request a scholarship to attend Reunion?
We reserve a small fund for anyone who could use assistance to attend Reunion. The fund is a first-come, first-serve and will provide a 50% discount on the registration costs for Circle members and 25% discount on the registration for non-members.
To request aid, contact Rabbi Elissa Sachs-Kohen at ESkohen@baltimorehebrew.org by the early-bird deadline, August 4, 2023.
How do you create lodging assignments?
Several factors are considered including available space, timing and reciprocal requests. We will do everything we can to place you in your requested lodging. Try to be specific (use names, not CIT years) and reciprocate requests.
Are linens provided?
Linens are not provided. Please bring your own bed linens, pillows, blankets and towels.
How do I check in?
Come to the Dining Hall to check in. Get your name tag and housing from the tables in the Dining Hall. This is a great time to pick up your pre-ordered mementos too!
Can I park near my lodging?
In order to maintain a safe environment during the weekend, all attendees must park in the gravel lot outside of the gate after dropping their stuff off. You will be asked to move your car if it is not parked in an approved area and your car could be towed if it is blocking an emergency pathway. The dining hall parking lot and White House spots are reserved for handicapped parking only, please email VP of Reunion Maggy Kay at LouiseCircleReunion@gmail.com if you require a handicapped spot.
What should I wear during the weekend?
Make sure to check the weather and pack appropriate, comfy clothes for the weekend. You may choose to wear white for Shabbat. It can get cold on the mountain in September, so bring a sweatshirt. Pack a raincoat/umbrella if it looks like it will rain. Comfy, supportive shoes are always a good idea!
What happens if I can’t make one of the meals? Do I get a refund?
Refunds are not available for meals you choose to not eat after you have made your reservation—food is purchased in advance and cannot be returned. The price of Circle Reunion includes operating fees for all Reunion participants—water, electricity, housekeeping, security, trash removal, tax, gratuities, etc., as well as Reunion activities, whether or not you participate. The Reunion weekend is a not-for-profit event; all fees are used to cover our operating costs.
Can I bring my pet?
We do not permit pets at Camp Louise during Circle Reunion.
What is the Circle Town-Hall Meeting?
This town-hall-style meeting allows the membership as a whole the opportunity to present any questions or concerns they have regarding Circle to the Board Members, so be sure to attend! We will be announcing the newly elected Board members at the meeting. If you have not voted in Circle Board Elections online, your last opportunity to vote is the Friday of Circle Reunion. It will take place on Saturday morning of Circle Reunion. If you have a topic to present at the Town Hall Meeting, please contact Circle President Stacy Derrick at Stacyd@camplouisecircle.org by September 1, so that you can be placed on the agenda and given appropriate time for your concern.
Do you allow “drop-ins” during the weekend?
No, we do not. At the gate, security will check your ID and make sure you’ve registered. If you did not, you will not be admitted to the grounds. The deadline for registrations is August 18, 2023. Also, please wear your badge at all times during the weekend.
How do I sign up to volunteer?
We could not host a weekend like this without your help! We will need help to get the event running, so please be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities, or please email us at LouiseCircleReunion@gmail.com if you have an idea of how you’d like to volunteer! Please note that volunteering is optional, but it’s a great way to meet new people during Reunion and give back.
