Your Circle Day Gift

This year, we celebrate Circle’s 80th birthday. Whether you’re a homegrown or a transplant, an American or an international, a newly-initiated member or a golden Circle member, we all want to see Circle thrive for 80 more years. Support the Circle Day 2016 Donation Challenge and help us raise $800 for Circle by May 25.

We often get questions about what donations to Circle are used for, so we’ve provided some additional information below.

Why Should I Donate?

Camp Louise Circle is a non-profit organization and we rely on donations from our loyal members to support us in achieving our mission each year. In 2015, here are some of the ways donations made a difference:
  • Bringing in Jewish musical guests for camp-wide activities
  • Creating the new “Sound Garden” on the path to Field 2
  • Donating to the Camper Scholarship Fund
  • Thanking staff at the end-of-summer banquet
  • Purchasing DVD players to provide entertainment to campers in the Health Center
  • Circle Reunion scholarships
  • Holding our biggest Circle Reunion ever!
  • Improving communications with Circle Members around the world
How Much Should I Give?
Any amount you can donate is appreciated! This year, Circle celebrates it’s 80th birthday, which is why we’ve set our goal at $800. There are a lot of circles in that number! People often choose to donate amounts with special meaning to them such as those listed below, but there is no amount that is too small.
  • The number of years you’ve been in Circle
  • The year you made Circle
  • Multiples of $18 to represent Chai

How Else Can I Support Circle?
Thanks for asking!  Here are some great ways to support Circle:
  • Make all Amazon.com purchases through Amazon Smile by first visiting https://smile.amazon.com/ and setting Camp Louise Circle as your chosen fund.  When you do, Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases directly to Circle!
  • Purchase a leaf on the Circle Tree of Life, a walkway brick, or a dedication plaque to honor someone you love. Legacy pieces are available on the Circle website.
  • Volunteer at Camp Louise for History Day on July 30th. Contact Jen Falik Rains at jenr@camplouisecircle.org to sign up.
